Arusha - Tanzania

2 Days Budget Camping Safari

On our adventure camping safaris you will be immersed in the East African wilderness. You will travel on rough adventurous roads, pass tiny rural settlements and see fascinating landscapes and abundant wildlife.

All your senses will be involved; from smelling early morning coffee, experiencing the thrill of a kill to the chill of a morning game drive. Falling asleep to the hooting of an owl or waking up with the roaring of a lion is what you will experience. The Cross to Africa Safari is all the more intense as you are ‘right in the middle’ of it all. The nearness to the nature, especially at night with its nocturnal sounds, compensates for the luxury of a lodge.

Our camping safaris in Tanzania offer all of this and are therefore perfect for nature lovers and those who are looking for a break from civilisation and its comforts. Camping is to experience Tanzania’s nature, animals and cultures in an affordable way.

Cross to Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater budget camping Safari offers accommodation in the public camping areas inside and outside National Parks. In every public Camp site there is nice and clean wash rooms and bathrooms special for our clients.

Day 1 Arusha – Tarangire National Park
You will be picked up at your hotel and start your approximate two hour journey to the Tarangire National Park. The park, with its savannah, seasonal swamps and baobab trees, is well known for its large number of elephant herds. During the dry seasons the Tarangire River, being one of the main sources of water in the area, attract various animals, such as bushbucks, hartebeests and giraffes from not only the park itself but the neighbouring Lake Manyara National Park. After an extensive game drive, enjoyed from the open roof of the vehicle, you will leave the park and travel to Pandorama Camp situated on the East Africa Rift Valley’s edge, where you will spend the night in a tent on a campsite

Day 2 Tarangire Area – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
An early start is on the agenda today as you make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you have reached the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will descend down an adventurous path into the 600m caldera. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, this massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25 000 mammals such as spotted hyenas and the “Big Five” – elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard and lion. You will enjoy lunch at a picnic spot inside the crater, before continuing your search for wildlife still unseen. In the afternoon you will leave the conservation area and head back to Arusha.
